Exif

EXchangeable Image File format - Basically, Exif file format is the same as JPEG file format. Exif inserts some of image/digicam information data and thumbnail image to JPEG in conformity to JPEG specification. Therefore you can view Exif format image files by JPEG compliant Internet browser/Picture viewer/Photo retouch software etc. as a usual JPEG image files. Jpeg

Joint Photographic Experts Group - A lossy compression scheme designed for still images. Excellent for continuous-tone images such as photographs. jpg file extension

Mpeg

Moving Picture Experts Group - A standard for compressing moving pictures. MPEG uses the similarity between frames to create a sequence of I, B, and P frames. Only the I frame contains all the picture data. The B and P frames only contain information relating to changes since the last I frame. mpg file extension
